Yeah, I remember the first time I attended sexual harassment training. I was so confused... So were half the people who showed up. The instructor finally gave up halfway through the class and we spent the rest of the time watching Transformers.

Could you please make it a point to make your sarcasm massively more obvious? I’ve met too many people who would have said that with frank seriousness >.<

I agree with you. And I wish it was just porn cheapening sex.

Do me a favor and stop being sexist against women by trying to maintain a situation that keeps them victims.

I wouldn’t rely on element of surprise being there. It’s a nasty surprise when it’s not, and some of those who’ve related their personal tales of self-defense have said the scumbag they dealt with very much expected them to be able to defend themselves... just not to the extent they were capable of.

They can train you to have the right mindset for it. Beyond that, no, they really can’t prepare you for it. But, in that mindset, you’re going to do a lot of things in a real situation that the class didn’t cover.

Ever try to hit someone in the throat when they have your arms pinned and are laying on top of you? That’s why groin kicks were suggested. Even if they have a high threshold for pain, the kinetic force can move them just enough to free you to do something else.

He’s right that it would be a terrible thing to do. You’d lose the resulting civil lawsuit.

That’s only if the people who leak the information are ever publicly identified. They’re usually almost never publicly identified, even when the information they leak almost borders on treason.

They’re going to leak it.

Biting the tongue is one of the things encouraged at the self-defense classes I attend. Along with groin kicks and several other harmful actions.

She did make it more intellectual. It ended up losing sales as a result. That’s why they’re bringing back the unintellectual sexy.

The portion of the shoe discussion that I overheard as I passed through was not entirely civil. And given what I’ve heard in the time since then, she’s angry that the director refused to take the blame for her decision.

Personally, I think expecting a lifelong douchebag to not be a douche is like expecting an angry rattlesnake not to bite you. He has been a douche all of his life; saying something like this is something that he’s not even going to deal with and walking away is pretty much the best we can expect from someone like him.

There’s a slight problem that’s cropped up since the last election: The crazy started to work, even if to a limited degree.

Well, the first being truly widespread would solve the second...

Hey, it worked for Clinton on some issues. And Bush. Obama didn’t try it and look at how things turned out for him.

Surround people with an atmosphere of paranoia long enough and they end up paranoid.

Because, compared to its primary competition within that market, it’s the more intellectual option.

Okay, who wants to take bets on someone thinking this is making fun of the idea that privilege is a problem?
