I don’t think dragonstone to the wall is thousands of miles. Considering Westeros resembles the UK with hadrians wall. I’d say it’s a couple of hundred miles. So a dragon flying about 100 miles an hour could be there in a couple of hours. For all you know they were sat on that rock in the middle for 8 hours.
