Same. It was never my favorite. Still isn’t really, but I was willing to buy it for my kids, which is a sign that it’s not bad. I’m just not into depressing orphan stories really.
I don’t think the problem is with our individual opinions of the film’s composition. There’s no right or wrong. I think the problem is there isn’t a vernacular yet for half real life half animation films. They use motion capture for the animals movements, which is technically live motions/actions though you never see…
Inconsiderate selfish assholes gonna inconsiderate selfish asshole.
I’m surprised there isn’t more whining about Alaska.

Yeah and animals don’t talk or sing either. Why would they make a story of such unbelievable situations!? Harrumphhh!
Pumbon is pretty good. Also maybe Timbaa?
Did you see the jungle book? Jon Favreau also did that one. There’s still CGI but its made to look realistic. That’s what I’m assuming anyway. I poopoohed the jungle book at first but it did indeed look cool.
These are all quite excellent. It’s like I can actually hear the bigots.
This version of Robin Hood always reminds me of Jason Bateman, who I also think is adorable.
