Seems like a good car, but I can’t imagine a human alive, for whom money is an object, who would purchase this car for themselves instead of something else.

Agree with you up until the coffee maker. My office just got two of those, and good lord. Great coffee. There is a big negative effect though: everyone on my team now:

You can get it with a wooden floor in the back. I think at that point, any droopiness can be forgiven.

Boxster! S, non-S, GTS, Spyder, it really doesn’t matter. Stick shift isn’t optional, however.

I think ethics should have a grey area called the “Jerk Zone”.

Think of it like this: It’s not morally wrong to hammer a nail in using the heavy battery of a cordless drill, but you’re probably using the wrong tool for the job.

Donald Trump is President of the United States

It’s a case by case basis. However, my general guideline is:

Just so you know, negative equity is a little different from debt. If I have a car worth $10k and $4k of debt on it, I have ($10k - $4k) = $6k equity, even though I still have $4k debt. Negative equity is when the debt is greater than the asset (so if I owed $12k, I’d have &10k - $12k = -$2k equity)

I’m a volunteer math tutor with an organization that helps people roughly 18-26 years old enter the trades. Typically, they’re missing a Grade 12 math credit that is required for entering that trade.

That’s a useful way of looking at it.

Hey,

I work for one of the funds people single out as a “large” pension. I don’t think it’s a good idea to index all pensions (and that’s not just because I’d probably be out of a job). For the purposes of this, let’s assume that the total return you get from active management is about equal to the total return from

OK, for the flooring to 10 miles over and then coasting to 10 miles under: I haven’t heard that specifically but I have heard that a car engine is most efficient (in terms of energy per unit of fuel) at full throttle. So if that is the case, why is this advice wrong? Is that one not the case?

I’m a stress free kind of guy

My subjective rule of thumb is that it’s OK if it’s an expensive car.

I don’t think it’s a bad looking car, but it’s not close to the last A/S/RS5.

Just like old TG.

Nice. I’m a history grad being driven in the back of an S551... Your life sounds cool too though

The issue is copyright law—a lot of the time, copyrights are granted on a “use it or lose it”-type basis. It can damage claims on the copyright if the owner fails to exercise the right, even if it’s a “common sense” situation where it “shouldn’t matter”.
