This never became anywhere as popular as JPG or GIF but it was there and I even had computer-class professors advise us to say hard-g-GIF so people wouldn't think you were asking for a JIF file.

I've heard it in either New Vegas or Fallout 4 but I also used a mod that adds a lot more thematically relevant songs to the radio stations for more variety so I'm not sure if it's included with the base game or if it's one of the unofficial added tracks.
