I liked the part about “the performance is underwhelming by today’s standards”.

If you have to wait 35 years for a car to become unimpressive, it’s impressive.

They have times for that, however it’s typically a months wait for a loaner appointment. For something like a silverado with a window that drops in the door at random, you can’t really wait that out.

Not elder Gen X as I am in my early 40's but 100% remember leaded gas, and pull tab soda cans lol.  There is like what 2 whole generations that don’t even know WHY it’s called unleaded gas.

As a boomer, all I can say to you is get used to it.
