They have times for that, however it’s typically a months wait for a loaner appointment. For something like a silverado with a window that drops in the door at random, you can’t really wait that out.
Not elder Gen X as I am in my early 40's but 100% remember leaded gas, and pull tab soda cans lol. There is like what 2 whole generations that don’t even know WHY it’s called unleaded gas.

That’s very true. But greed being greed, car manufacturers will definitely increase the price of new cars to reflect the raise in labor cost. It won’t be a big amount but it will still be there. We won’t notice it per say, as it will be mixed with the rise in costs for everything else. But it will still be there.

evs arent even close to being as bad as ice. the only reason this is a problem is because we dont bury our lines like smart people would and that weve half assed the grid since ww2 and done nothing for infrastructure. it only seems like a lot because weve done fuck all for the last fifty years and its way behind.
Not sure how you came to that conclusion, but our infrastructure sucks from decades of under investment..
