The way things are going, I assume this is their way of telling us Tom is also leaving.

Continuing this trend, the moral of the story is that even if you do use your company email to brag about actions that ultimately caused the death of hundreds of people, you won’t be held responsible for it as long as you can afford a high powered lawyer.

Hmm, perhaps the calls to #FireLouisDeJoy had some effect.

Even if he didn’t put it there, he’s still responsible for not ripping it off himself.

You’re all giving them way too much credit in assuming there is anything even tangentially related to “logic” going on here.

    Oof, that’s rough.

I eagerly await Twister 2: Cruise Control.

    ~1GPM my water main supplies.

The only reason VW invested in infrastructure is that they were required to as part of their dieselgate settlement.

Honestly, given the increase in car prices over the past year, 5.75% is probably lower than could be expected. I’d be willing to bet the average new car price rose by at least that much over that time.

There are no $10k ICE cars anymore either. Heck, there are barely any $20k ICE cars. That price range has been ceded to the used market.

Outside of basic maintenance like air filters and oil changes, my first serious repair was the oil pressure sensor on my Corvette. It’s buried pretty far under the cowl behind the intake manifold, but after one aborted attempt where I discovered my socket wasn’t thin enough to fit in the space available, I got it

I made it a long time without having to change a tire. Probably 10 years of my own cars, plus another five when I was in school driving my parents’ cars. Not that I never had a flat in that time, but a couple of them were slow leaks that I could fill up and drive to the tire place, and one at a family gathering that

Hopefully, all that excess cash doesn’t way down your pockets

I was all ready to take a flyer and NP this, but the questionable decisions evident in the engine bay and this comp flipped me to ND. A thousand bucks for a third the miles, more power, and t-tops? I’m suddenly struck by the urge to research car transporters in Oregon. :-)

Annoying, because since I believed the hype that it was going to go up and up and up, I filled up both cars.

    WTF is...wait, no, I don’t want to know. :-P
