The article could have a much, much clearer.

I’m calling it now: the gas station sushi cleanse will be the next hot health trend among gullible nitwits.

When I read Mercedes’ comment my first thought was, “businesses always blame stuff on the government so I’m skeptical.” Good to know I was right to be.

Ha, this reminds me that when I was a kid I wanted to be a bus driver too, although it was less about the bus and more about the cool linkage that let them open the doors from the driver’s seat.

I’ve written blog posts that are critical of my company’s products before, but if they came to me and told me to stop that then either I’d stop or expect to get fired. This feels like a bit of a non-story to me. As the kids say, he fucked around and found out.

Probably like those privacy screen overlays you can get for laptops. They make it impossible to see the screen from an off angle so only the person sitting directly in front of it can see.

Surprisingly reasonable price for Xzilon as well, assuming that’s actually a ceramic coating as I seem to recall it is. Sure, you could it for less yourself, but compared to the multiple thousands of dollars of markup some places are charging that’s not outrageous.

I really want an electric version of my Honda PCX. Enough space under the seat for a full-face and then some, and if you add a topbox you can make a solid grocery run on it. It’s not a good highway bike because it’s limited to 60 mph (and practically speaking anything over 50 is a struggle with a larger rider), but

But the evil CEO of the company that built the pod, Shmelon Shmusk, blames the operator anyway because the pod’s EULA states that the operator must always be ready to take control.

I recently did a long-ish road trip with multiple gas stops. At one stop I filled up with gas, used the restroom, and bought a drink and snacks. It took right around 20 minutes, and I wasn’t even trying to kill time.

Did you do the math on the mileage charges from CruiseAmerica? Last time I look they are crazy expensive, to the point where the only cost-effective way to do it is to drive to the nearest rental place to your destination and then pick up the RV.

Attempted murder? If someone’s tire fails catastrophically from low pressure and they center punch a concrete pylon or something that’s a far worse outcome than some cosmetic damage.

First world problems can still be problems. The other side of this is that someone paid 1.5 million and has to deal with someone using their street as a commercial parking lot. I wouldn’t be happy about it either.

About the only positive thing I can say is I don’t hate the seats. That’s a sexy brown, even if I’m not sure about quilted leather in an ostensibly off-road vehicle.

Mythbusters covered this. It was specifically in relation to blowing up a car by shooting its gas tank, but I believe at one point they tried actually lighting the gas leaking out of the tank on fire and it still wouldn’t explode.

It’s funny* how gas prices increased in lockstep, or even ahead of, the price of a barrel of oil while prices were increasing. Now that prices have come back down, has the price of gas decreased? One penny, and that’s it.

The wheels and cat delete make me wonder what other terrible decisions the owner made with this car that aren’t as obvious. ND.

Yeah, I feel like metal 3d printing is the only real path forward here. If plastic wheels were viable there would already be a lot of them out there, given how much cheaper it would be to mold plastic.

That’s great news! This is one time I’m very happy to be wrong. :-)

I would be really interested to see numbers on how many new vaccinations are happening at this point. It very much feels like everyone who is going to get vaccinated already is and the ones who aren’t would rather die than admit they were wrong.
