A Prius is a good choice for car camping. The hatch gives you plenty of room to sleep in the back, and because the AC is electric, you can have nice cool nights without having to run the engine all night (just a few stints to charge the battery back up, which the car will handle itself).

Sure, but if the warranty is 5 years and this reduces the average lifespan of the battery from 10 to 7 years then the OEM has no reason not to do this, but I still might.
