I don’t question the will to do it, but I do question the ability. It’s not at all clear to me that charging infrastructure and battery production will be able to scale to meet that goal. We’ve had EVs for a solid decade now and 1) we’re already running into issues getting raw materials for batteries and 2) charging

Hey, why you gotta call out Erik like that? ;-)

I dunno, without a distinct angle to the “brows” it kind of looks sleepy to me.

Ugh, that’s got to smell so bad I wouldn’t be shocked if people in the U.S. got a whiff of it, kind of like how we can detect earthquakes that happen halfway around the world.

Hmm, never considered treating a hotel like a convenience store. Not a bad idea!

The face mask requirement imposed by the Federal Aviation Administration is absolutely the reason behind the unprecedented rise in chaos across the nation’s airports and various airlines.

Somebody didn’t read your comment before starring, sadly. :-(

That is an excellent read, and anyone who has the slightest inkling that crypto might be anything but a disaster on every level should check it out.

    I don’t think so. According to the Jalopnik review it’s a 1.4L turbo 4.

Yeah, the only reason anyone died here was because he had a gun. This situation would almost certainly have been resolved non-lethally otherwise.

I mean, dead guy also had a gun and look how much good it did him.

2035 is a long way off and almost none of the people who passed that bill will still be in office by that time. I’m viewing these ICE bans with extreme skepticism until we get closer to the date and it looks plausible.

The only 4 cylinder I’ve heard in person that sounded good was a Fiat 500 Abarth. I get why people rave about the exhaust note on those cars.

I ate at a Chick-Fil-A once and I don’t get people’s obsession with their food. It was fast food chicken, just like every other fast food chicken I’ve ever had. The main thing I can remember is that it was a PITA having to go back to the counter to get refills (which, admittedly, is not relevant to a drive-thru

Given Chick-Fil-A management’s other political leanings, I wouldn’t be so sure about that.

As I understand it, there are a lot of places that have a blanket “no hybrids” policy. Which is funny because a lot of things are easier to do on a Prius than on other cars. Changing the ATF is basically just an oil change. The serpentine belt runs exactly one thing, the water pump, so it’s stupidly easy to change.

    Uber begs to differ. ;-)

Everything I’ve read says that’s a bad idea unless you’re only trying to squeak another year or two out of the car. Even if you replace the bad cells, you’re still left with a battery that is predominantly old, tired cells. In fact, it’s probably all old, tired cells because to do that properly you have to match the

I got a CH-R as a rental a couple of years ago because it was that or a full-size GM SUV and I was travelling alone and had a lot of driving to do, so I didn’t want to pay for gas in one of the behemoths.

I don’t even care that he stole the idea from Stephen Colbert. Although I wish he would have used some of the #HeWhoShallBeNamed alternatives. ;-)
