The Birmingham Whateverthefuck’s Roster:

All I want for Christmas is a Birmingham Whateverthefuck’s away kit!

The NFL’s Brand Equity is lodged in America’s taint.

Oh man. Thank you for this one, man. F***ing outstanding.

I came here just to find a “Gene Mean” comment. Well done.

Mean Gene was such a perfect straight man for Macho Man’s ridiculous over the top character. Those interviews are among the greatest things WWE has ever produced.

WWE did not release a cause of death.

Ate a “Mean Gene’s” burger joint in Okinawa back in 2006-7 I think. One of the most memorable Thanksgiving’s I ever had. RIP.

For those calling Mean Gene and Macho Man one of the greatest comedy duos in wrestling, I present to you Gene with the Iron Sheik. Gene couldn’t hold it together.

Worked at a Twin Cities golf club back in the late 70s, which included among its membership a lot of the area’s more prominent bookmakers, some prominent businessmen,  along with Gene. They did a fantasy football league, back in it’s infancy, and draft slots were auctioned for cash, with all the winnings distributed

He’s the voice I remember most from my childhood. RIP Mean Gene

The existence of The South Dakota Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is already an insanely strong contender for the “Dumbest factoid I learned this year” award.

Necessary viewing. At 1:05, one of the few times I’ve seen him lose it. They had to cut him outta the shot.

This sucks. I love reading old Mean Gene stories. Apparently, he could drink guys 4 times his size under the table, and had a hell of a sense of humor. Also, I’m shocked he was only 76. He looked about 76 in 1987. Rest in Peace Mr. Okerlund.

That Dave Shultz clip was the first thing I thought of. I’m telling it like it is, baby.

I say this completely without irony - Mean Gene and Macho Man Randy Savage were one of the greatest all-time comedy duos.

Gene Mean always telling the Iron Sheik the real names of other wrestlers simply can’t be beat.

Time to share some classic Mean Gene interview segments!
