I can only speak to the Wranglers but the automatic transmission is an 8 speed & had the ability to switch to 4wd if the car decided it needed to. As far as I know, that was it. Any feature or trim on the automatic could be had with the manual.

I don’t know. Homeboy told the Japanese prime minister that “the Japanese build great cars; they should start making them on the US

Not that I want to start a flame war but ummm... do we think we’ll have Chinese cars sold in America if he’s uh... still in office?

I’m also curious about 2dr vs 4dr. I'm assuming the 2dr appeals more to the "enthusiast" crowd & more likely to get the 6 speed.

I can only speak for the Wrangler but opting for the automatic added another $2K by default. The Tacoma TRD pro automatic was almost $3K more expensive. Both had the same engine & 4WD...

I think your issue is your experiences with manuals were shitboxes.

I learned this one the hard way. I had one side vertical & one side horizontal. Made a huge difference.

“...Can you guess what that issue might be?”

This is unfortunate that you have to state this, as 1) I’ve also noticed it myself & 2) it was extremely easy to find a good video that teaches Wrangler owners (at least JLs) how to properly adjust beam height.

Like everything in life, there’s a right way & a wrong way to do it.... So stay tuned...?

I just hope when you write your article on LED headlights, you explicitly call out adjusting your headlight beam height!

No aftermarket flasher that’s LED suitable?

I had no interest in splicing in resistors, not to mention the electrical math required to figure out the correct ohms.

Dude. Why would anyone need SO MUCH LIGHT.

...I presume the company will be presenting Murphy with a new Frontier...

Fuck man, that last paragraph hit hard :(

That’s such an awful idea, GM might run with it...

Very well said. As excessive as this may be, they should be applauded for making exciting vehicles because at one point, the most exciting vehicles they made were the PT cruiser gt & neon srt4.

:(

Actually, that’s a big reason why I asked. Despite a low take rate for a wrangler unlimited with 3 pedals, they still make them & charge 2K extra for an automatic.
