He gave his life to stop us from nuking ourselves and you don’t even have the common decency to put him on this list!
What about The Iron Giant???
I feel like it’s a given that at *some* point, Mindy is actually going to get some cocaine, and it’s either going to be amazing and a delight to watch or completely disappointing and hilarious.
I love this show. Its one of the most inventive things I’ve ever seen, and I think this episode may be my favorite. The line about chowder being “hot ocean milk with dead animal croutons” honestly made me laugh out loud.
They’ll hijack a train to the Good Place. “Aren’t trains fun? Choo-choo!”
You mean... Vicky should get a bigger part?
Prediction thread!
The one reason I’m glad this isn’t streaming is because they do the best cliffhangers on TV. The last scene always sets up some huge development. I don’t think that would work quite as well when the next episode is ten seconds later.
That was kind of astonishing. I’ve never seen a show get laughs from blowing up its own premise repeatedly, then getting even bigger laughs from accelerating through multiple blow-ups of its own premise. I am genuinely kind of in awe at the nerve it takes to do something this out there this early in the season.
I agree and think everyone’s in the Bad Place. Hopefully not the Fab 4 though. They deserve to level up to Medium by the time this show is over.
If ever one of you guys gets to interview Schur or someone involved with this show, I would be fascinated to learn just how long it took to shoot this episode. Because the sheer number of set ups and wardrobe changes necessary for all those iterations of The Good Place must’ve been time consuming, yet so worth it.
I never know where this show is gonna go and I love it.
There are so many great details and jokes in this show, but I still love how quickly Eleanor tends to go along with anyone’s suggestions—which are often her mistaken impressions that someone wants sex, but in this case was watching Cannonball Run 2 and immediately wanting a quick recap of the first one.
Aw, and here I was hoping after last season’s tease that Eleanor and Tahani would eventually get together :\
I recall thinking that was a logical place for them to end up by the end of the year. That we’re already there is pretty amazing.
The rate this show blows through plot is amazing. My only complaint is that we didn’t see the Tahani and Eleanor soulmate cohabitation. That must have been a great version. And JASON figured it out once! Bah!
For the love of God, would someone please get Mindy some cocaine? She seems so sad without it.
The first 5 minutes of this episode is among the most hilarious things I’ve seen on TV, playing off the entire first season of character development while allowing new viewers to understand just what’s going on. “Meet your soul mate, Tahini.” Mindy walking in on them while she’s masturbating. Clowns on conveyor…
