But all of this was written, shot, & edited before less patient viewers had a chance to watch it. Lynch is just being Lynch. I will agree that he has definitely addressed past criticisms of James with both Shelley's "James has always been cool" line and James performing "Just You."

I guess. And I guess I'm just shocked that anyone could have their heart figuratively broken by 22 minutes of network comedy. It was a damn good season and a pretty fitting (and often very funny) season finale. So sue me.

Todd, I'm going to go with this not so well thought-out thought: "You're over-thinking it." It's a 30 minute television comedy for crying out loud.
