Less than half of you people are real Jalopniks. Letting a dime-a-dozen expensive to maintain BMW beat a rare WAGON and the arguably worst gen of Impreza beat the mighty XJ??

I seriously hope the XJ wins this thing. It's the only thing left that I would consider buying as a DD Beater.

I know that to be the reality of it but damn, the Pickup is much better than that gen of subie in my mind.

We need more votes for the Pickup/Hilux. In the case of a beater car you want something reliable and easy to work on. The Toyota is much more of both compared to the Subie.

Slam. Friggin'. Dunk.

This is my bracket. It will never happen in a million years but if you've ever owned a Toyota Pickup, you know that a super-reliable wallet-friendly 4WD Manual 4-cyl with gobs of potential for mods is a very wonderful thing.

Kaleva Kettunen, A mythical giant who is foxy. Really doesn't describe me well, as I am a short skinny fellow who is a bit clumsy. Still sounds cool though. :P

A 2nd or 3rd gen 4Runner should be in place of the Civic AWD in the dirt devils section. Cant believe it's not in the bracket lol, my 4Runner is a total beater.

Picture just cause:

The CH750 is, in fact my favorite STOL aircraft. The Antonov AN-2 is also cool in an old Russian hunk o' junk kind of way.

Seed on!

Looked like crankcase to me but you may be right.

Man he blew that block to bits. Aluminum everywhere.

Not a fan at all. Jeep has been going down the toilet for a while now, in terms of Jeep-ness, and this just flushes it on down.

My dad has the non-Terminator version of this truck. Very solid dependable truck. I believe he paid more than 9k for it a few years ago. Seems like a great deal for a special edition.

NP. Not only NP, but MUCH WANT. Looks to be decently well taken care of. Perfect daily driver. Slight ugliness gives it some nostalgia and character.

I tend to think that the Toyota 22R-E and 5VZ-FE shouldve made the list, but that's still a good top 10. All really great engines.

I consider these to be one of the best audio bargains out there. Somewhat cheap Fiio amp is all you'd need to drive them. They're less $$ than I paid for my 770 Pros.

These arent wireless because wireless headphones sound horrific due to the way the audio is streamed to the headphones themselves, but otherwise they are really great: http://www.klipsch.com/klipsch-status…
