I love HBC and Olivia, obviously. But I think my biggest problem with this season so far (i’m halfway through) is that there doesnt seem to be much of a narrative through-line like the first two seasons did. The show has always been episodic and had large time jumps, but there was always one plot point that tied it…

Personally I thought the time frame they settled on was odd.  They could’ve gotten another season out of the original cast to get through the 60s, and then made the switch.  

Related to The Crown, and I’ll probably get flak for it, but I think the total cast change for most of the characters was a really bad idea. In particular *big gulp* I think Helena Bonham-Carter is really badly miscast here.

She’s a straight up hypocrite and is clearly unhinged. 

Is this Dessen’s kinja account? Someone giving tepid praise to your book is “being an asshole”? And if Dessen can react this poorly to someone making an offhand comment about her book and you defend that, I’m not sure why you don’t also think everyone else has the right to think she’s unhinged in reaction to her.
