Solid work.

I’ll never understand why some people have such a hard time being civil to others. I get that some are just racist, shitty, assholes...but I still just don’t get it. Like, why? More often than not, they just seem to get themselves riled up and upset. Makes not one bit of sense.

Ah, I see, THAT’s the deal with airline food.

This is the biggest hit I’ve seen laid on a number 11 who couldn’t handle drinks since Phil Simms.

Thanks for reading! Buy my books!

My dad still lives within a short drive of this place: http://dairystatecheese.com/

And every time we visit him, we visit there.

Why only fried cheese curds?

True Sconnies know that curds are best when they’re squeaky.

(Also, they don’t call themselves Sconnies--man, I’ve been away too long...)

That sounds like short-person propaganda to me.

Guys I’ve been writing this column for roughly 2 years. I have used up every overturned truck stock photo option. Truly.

You also left out the part where the family owns Sinclair Broadcasting - that company that recently was in the news for making their on-air talent read that absurd commentary about trying to do balanced reporting and is a total supporter of all conservative causes.  So this dress code is just in line with their entire

why not just say, “Jacket required” and provide a collection of jackets just in case someone walked in unprepared?

I have a bone to pick here...

Thanks for these past three years, Kevin, and especially for making The Takeout into a site for those who also see food as: 1) good; 2) a way to enrich our lives in other ways. There’s been a lot of excellent, thoughtful, and useful writing here in the past few years, and I’m excited to see how this evolves based on

You will be missed, Kevin.  It’s a real nice corner of the internet you’ve set up here... be sure to pop in whenever you’re feeling nostalgic.

“People like you”

Agreed. One of my many hobbies is playing video games. I no longer consider myself a “gamer.”
