Basically all the songs are like this: six or seven minutes long, super duper corny, and good as hell.

I think Ellefson was a huge part of that too. Not just the riffs, but they had some amazing bass under all of it. Cliff was fantastic of course, Newsted and Trullio are good in their own rights, but Dave Ellefson is amazing.

As a Wings fan, I think I can safely say we’d be bad in either conference.

Stars for you both!

The concept of the team is still terrible. A fake team in a supposed international tournament.

Oh yeah, I didn’t mean to infer that Tkachuk wasn’t skilled, because he was absolutely a beast for a good while. Those “gritty” guys I mentioned were all very talented to elite-level players, which is where the 2016 team went so wrong. They saw the “grit” in those guys and overlooked the fact that they were also

Oh no doubt. My point was that the US wanted to put together a gritty, defensive team that could maybe grind out a 1-0 or 2-1 win over Canada. There’s no doubt Canada is the more skilled team even if USA had their best.

The NHL has fundamentally changed since even that time. Plus the Kings were almost as boring as the 90s/2000s Devils teams.

It’s a systemic issue through that majority of hockey circles worldwide. GMs are some of the most guilty. As a Wings fan, I know first-hand. Ken Holland loves him some overpaid old guys for that “veteran influence” and because they’re so “good in the locker room”. Don’t mind the fact that most of those player lack

I think the plan was to out-grit Canada and eek out a victory that way. Sadly, and shockingly, it turns out skill and ability to score goals is more important.

It was more a legacy of the 1996 team which beat Canada for the World Cup. A team that was also very “gritty”, in the form of guys like Chelios, Hatcher(s), Tkachuk, and Suter. It also had a ton of skill with guys like Modano, Hull, LaFontaine, Leetch, Housley, and Mike Richter in net. Grit had little to do with that

2004 I believe. Roughly 12 years ago.

As a Red Wings fan, I’m quite jealous of how smart and progressive the Panthers front office has become. This is a team that’s built to be good for a really long time.

DO... NOT. SEEK... THE TREASURE!

...and of course finishing the video disappointed.

He was literally in the crosswalk. The McLaren was a full car length over the line where he was intended to stop. There’s no doubt it’s a stupid reaction by the skateboarder, but the McLaren driver did at least three things wrong first to provoke the situation.

The skateboarder was gaining distance even before the camera cut away.

I think MANY of us could potentially take a professional bowler in a fight! It’s twice the “sport” poker is, but they are all in roughly the same level of unfitness.

Technically only once. He came back to play for the Predators again, violated curfew, and headed right back to Russia. Supposedly he’s matured since he had his first child, but the proof will be in the pudding.
