There are multiple avenues to slow/stop the end result. Background checks (which, oddly enough, the NRA was all for back in the late 80's and early 90's, universal background checks, go figure), having all buyers (guns AND ammo) pass firearms safety classes, some form of license (I’m in CT and you can’t buy guns or

Yeah.... unfortunately I don’t think it is.

Nah, it comes in nuclear green, 401 hp from the factory w/ carbon/ceramic brakes and a ‘drift mode’ for the AWD system. That’s why I want it. It’s bigger than my GTI so my bass will fit laying down across the rear seats (won’t fit in the GTI like that but DID fit in my 2010 Jetta).

The Arteon wagon or the RS3 sport back would both be nice here. To be honest though, if I’m going to plunk down $50k for an Arteon R line... why not just plunk down another $10k for the RS3? Will you really miss that sport back (or the $10k) when you’re laughing like Dr. Evil as you drive it?

So the stage is protected with bullet proof glass... the better to squish yer oiled up buns against!

Don’t think so, but a flat bed made into a mobile LGBTQ strip club with Ram Ranch (and every possible gay anthem) blaring would be the first thing I would do if I won the Powerball. Just so many uses for something like that these days... these morons, those Westboro Baptist Church clowns, Trump rallies, Q Anon

Haven’t had that issue.  My 2002 was fine as was the 2010... there aren’t many knobs in the 2015 though.

That’s not really an option.  You can’t just buy the seats, you have to buy the parts and build it or for this particular option, buy the seat covers and replace the leather with the fabric.

Was thinking the same thing... but why not add on a roof rack and pod for all the ‘stuff’ and give the doggo some more room? The rack and pod on my GTI didn’t seem to bother highway fuel usage, though the VW rack for my MK7 is a bit louder than the style used on my MKIV. Damped that down a bit using bungee cords, rope

Well, you can get cars with heated/vented seats now... heated is fantastic in the winter but lemme tell you about those vented seats in the summer that come on a car with smart phone access... man oh man is it nice that you can turn on the car, crank the A/C and activate those cooling seats before you touch the door

Oh, great example! I wanted a GTI without ASS BURNING SEATS (leather/fake leather) which also means I wanted a GTI WITH PLAID SEATS, a sun roof would have been nice along with a couple of other things... but NO ASS BURNING SEATS was NUMBER ONE option priority.

I like where your head is at...

My thought on that was to engineer a plug in adapter. Maybe it plugs into the OBDII port or just gets hard wired into the car and contains all the physical controls the touch screen handles. My brain isn’t big enough to figure that one out... so I’m just hoping at some point I get so annoyed I search out the correct

Totally agreed. I can find a knob or button on the dash or steering wheel that I used frequently quite easily. This past weekend we took my wife’s Mercedes for a ride and she could not figure out how to tune in an actual radio station.

If there ever was a reason to bring back “Nice Price or Crack Pipe”, this car at this price is it. You would need to have a basement full of “Fuck Off” money and a hot crack pipe in your hand to buy a 79 Mazda for almost $40k.

Yeah, hate the doors... but it’s close enough that I’m seriously considering the argument I’ll have with the wife should this thing land in my driveway.

Having been there, or at least similar situations, maybe it’s time for Jalopnik uniforms of some kind for y’all when you’re covering events like this. A couple of decent shirts with the logo would totally blend in as normal in the pits or at events. It covers the ‘why are you here’ / ‘who are you’, and you can have 2

Gotta love how the hood doesn’t close right, so he just pulls on the grill! I did that to my trunk after an accident once.  You shouldn’t be able to change the dimensions of a car with your hands.

Part of it is related to ‘unsanctioned underwear’, the other part jewelry. The underwear part I get, the drivers are supposed to wear fire resistant underwear which probably means Nomex. I have some Nomex garments and I don’t want to wear them on anything sensitive. Sure, you can wash them in regular detergent, but

Just fixed the issue that popped up last week. Got to work, put the ‘15 GTI into park (DSG), turned off the car and the key wouldn’t come out of the column. WTF?
