In most places, probably not so normal... but with the quantity of abandoned and/or burned out armor laying about in Ukraine these days, slightly used helmets (worn a few times, only dropped once) it’s probably kinda common over there.

Urgent!!!

What if the previous occupants ran away with them?  Will any type of helmet work?  You know, just in case I stumble across some abandoned Russian armor and enough fuel.

Haven’t seen that episode hence my comment.  Carry on.

Doubt you’ll need to imagine it. How hard would you try to hold on to the worst driver in the field when his daddy’s money was now frozen by sanctions and there will probably be visa bans on Russians into NATO countries and probably non-NATO countries.

Seriously man? Just getting rid of Mazepin means they can reduce the budget for spare body work, that alone cuts millions off what they had put aside for the season.

Well, they already own enough of New Haven that if they want to put one in they’ll just demo a bunch of properties. and start paving.

Nah... but if it was your team and 1) the major sponsor was a Russian oligarch who was summoned by Putin for discussions on the invasion prior to it occurring, 2) the major sponsor’s money was now frozen so they couldn’t pay you and 3) the pay driver was the worst on the grid, would you even flinch given the

First time I’ve seen someone TRIPLE KINJA’D!

Pretty sure it gets colder and they get more snow in Milwaukee. But to your point, in Milwaukee you don’t have to deal with steam shooting up out of subway grates, ConEd accidentally electrifying the sidewalk, stepping off the sidewalk into an ankle deep puddle of whatever was in that pothole, almost no place to put

I’ve been living in Fairfield County, Connecticut for the last 18 years. You just wear work clothes (Dickies, black boots, company baseball hat) and you’re invisible to anyone with money in certain places. “Ugh, a peasant...” As sklooner notes, the reflective vest and clipboard probably provide additional cover.

Nice Score!

That’s kind of how they figured out that either the Russians or Chinese didn’t know how good our imagery was.  They knew when the satellite was coming over and then put out a huge sign with big letters meanwhile they could read the license plates on the cars.

There are a few tools that when I found them I knew it was just a matter of time before I would need it and just purchased them. Right angle attachment for a drill, wireless endoscope you can connect to the phone and see into hidden places with almost no access... the FLIR camera was on the expensive side, but it’s

Typically for a draw bridge there are 2 options, specific times the bridge opens or “call this number for bridge to open”. In the latter case, you call the bridge operator on the phone before you go under, the bridge operator checks the bridge for traffic, closes the gates, hits the button to open the bridge and

Oh man that’s funnier than when pilots draw goofy things in the sky and get caught with that flight path monitoring web site. Hopefully they also wrote them in Russian.

The gate is just out of frame from where that screen shot shows the pedestrian gate.

It is indeed weaker and similar enough that it should work as well.  But you leave any metal in a corrosive solution that will corrode said metal and you’ll get pitting the longer you leave it in there.  The layer of anodizing on the aluminum isn’t that thick either, so it should just come off and then you rinse the
