Got rear ended years ago, the law firm I hired started to get me ready and slamming me with questions just in case. “How did you know the brake lights worked? What about the turn signals?” I had followed the vehicle in question home the night before and all lights worked. If one turn signal was out, the light would

I may have to agree with this.  Once they’re on their second owner, I don’t see them being as well loved as a GTI, Golf or Jetta.  I looked at one, sure was pretty... but much heavier than a GTI with a similar powerplant. So it looks like fun, when new it’s super good looking... but just so meh...

I actually remember seeing this car on the lot when it was new! I looked at the car, “Hey, nice...” then saw the sticker “HOLY SHIT! Who the fuck is going to pay that much for a Volkswagen?” Then I noticed the W8 badge on the back... “Oh, right... someone ordered this.

Googled it... holy shit!

Unfortunately, Max doesn’t seem to learn much from big crashes.  I figured Silverstone would have kinda helped cement the idea that you can’t win a race if you wipe out into the barriers... but he seems to like to do that.

Got one as a rental for a long road trip.  Comfortable to drive and when my GF (at the time) wanted to sleep, she climbed in the back and laid out in the back seat like it was a couch and woke up 3 states later.

It’s lowered in Jersey... the roads there are that bad that the bottom of this car is probably a big cheese grater already.

From what I found, the original cases were AS41, an aluminum and magnesium alloy. Looks like a different alloy was used at some point in the 70's, AS21, with more aluminum than the AS41. The AS21 was noted as being stronger, less likely to deform when very hot. It’s still an aluminum and magnesium alloy, just more

It’s pretty much the same exact thing that’s happening in the U.S. Driving a truck ain’t exactly an easy or highly rewarding job. Competition for lower shipping rates coupled with rising fuel prices (and some other stuff) means drivers haven’t been getting wage increases that match inflation.

Watch it on You Tube, I believe she’s named.  And she done got herself arrested... can you believe it... again.

The Aussies seem to bring casual swearing to another level. That’s one of the reasons I dig that channel. Nothing like hearing a young woman scream out the window of a car at another driver and drop multiple F-bombs accented by gratuitous use of the C-word. DEFINITELY NSFW.

Not a bad take, anyone with the weather radar in front of them, or a pair of eyes looking toward the Black Sea, would have seen that what was coming wasn’t just a bit of a sprinkle but a full on shower. The only reason Hamilton came in was that the team told him “It’s going to get worse.”

It’s Australia, there’s no shortage of distracted driving there. Dash Cam Owners Australia puts together monthly compilations of the best, here’s September 2021,

I was thinking the same thing.

Think that’s called Death Race.

The lead argument is particularly worse since the Romans knew lead was bad. They didn’t know exactly how or why, but they knew it caused issues.

Or 2015 called and would like to take you for a ride that won’t be problematic.

And in case Kinja screws me, here’s the link

Maybe, but maybe not. I listened to his interview on Stern and he laid down a solid play call of one of their staff, JD Harmeyer, eating breakfast.

And that’s quite strange if you think about it. I used to hate Joe Buck, but the guy can call plays for football one day and then baseball the next. The disconnect with Buck is that we’re used to hearing our local people call the game, then he steps in without the day to day knowledge and you miss having the people
