I had a ‘77 GT-LB version of this first Celica. It was a very cool car even in the early 90's when I briefly had one. This wasn’t they Toyota quality that came later tho - everything rusted and the headliner was the worst I’ve ever owned. My next two cars were a ‘81 GT-LB and a ‘84 Celica-Supra and, to Toyota’s

All of these are mid-engine with the exception of the mentions of Porsche and Beetles. Even that transverse setup looks to be mid-engine.

Holy shit, dude.

Gen4 has got to feel so smooth. I love my modded Gen2 (I may be the world’s biggest fan of T-VIS), but it’s not a modern EFI system and it shows it occasionally. I bet the Gen4 EFI system feels as refined as a Lexus.

You know how many more humans would be missing their legs if that thing was ever mass produced?

I REALLY want fajita tacos for lunch now.

I’m decently sure I’ve had it. My GF and I were pretty determined to find an acceptable place in the area. Generally, we were shocked by the lack of seasoning in ALL food in Ohio.

Very true. I have the inverse rule concerning pizza. I spent the 80's, as a child, in NYC. It pretty much ruined me for all but a few Texas pizza joints.

I was getting that vibe too. “Fuck this car!”

I’m a Texan who recently lived in Akron and I can assure you there is no such thing as good mexican food in Ohio. That place in Canton, El Campesino, especially can go fuck itself.

Comedy nerds, like myself, loved those inside stories. The cars aspect was a huge bonus for me too.

Seinfeld, himself, has never made me laugh. But I am going to miss that show.

MR2s are the masters of hidden storage. My MKII Turbo has a frunk, a trunk, a glove box, a center storage with two compartments and a tool storage behind each seat.

There is no “Bob”.

Yeah, that was striking (In a good way).

The second one, in that exact color, was the first car my friends and I were allowed to drive (legally). It remained so for another year until I got my license. That picture was nostalgia overload for a good 30secs.

+42hp, 1kRPM and a WHOLE lot more fun.

My buddy’s has 4th Gen 3S-GTE in it. That thing is fucking dangerous. So much fun.

I’m 6'3" 225lbs and I fit just fine in my buddy’s MKIII. My MKII is much more roomy tho.

Why haven’t you owned a turbo MKII? The stories about them being heavy GT cars are greatly exaggerated. Mine weighed in at 2755lbs with me (Roughly 225lbs) and a quarter tank of gas at the track a few years back.
