This is one of the very few cars that handles better than a Miata.

Not my favorite generation but these cars are a lot of fun. Without a turbo, I’m out but I could see myself buying it for my girl. We could have a set of his and hers MR2s.

Sucks when your bullshit censorship doesn’t go your way, doesn’t it? Censorship is un-American in the extreme.

Fuck yes, Erin.

My local MR2 specialty garage has transitioned into a garage that specializes in these. Luckily for me, that means the sale of MR2 improvement parts subsidizes the evolution of these cars (Which means I have a steady supply of well engineered improvements for my own car).

I’ve just really had a rough time with my friend’s and family’s various Ford products over the years. Ford and no maintenance owners have conditioned this response in me.

That car would make me rethink my Ford prohibition.

If I’m being honest, and not just a diplomatic car guy, I’ve always felt it was a ridiculous waste of Yamaha’s time and effort to enliven a Ford. I could never own a Ford under any circumstances. I like to fix up cars, not repair them daily.

The engine that makes the sound in question always was.

Every engine I have ever loved has been breathed on by Yamaha. The difference between the Yamaha versions and the non-Yamaha versions of these engines is incredible.

It was them holding up their end of the partnership. They didn’t sell very many Cavaliers in Japan, TRD or otherwise.

Not quite as rare as the TRD Cavalier. I’m not having a stroke, they exist.

Look how awful that rear suspension is!

Funny how surface area suddenly comes into play when speaking of dump trucks but absolutely isn’t a relative factor when pricing a paintjob for my tiny ass MR2.

My exact thoughts.

Holy shit this is great content. Thank you Jason.

It is criminal trespassing for either of them. That is the law.

Yeah, I’m a building designer today. It is a felony for you to walk into any of my current job sites regardless of how finished the building is. It is a felony to walk on a newly dried slab with no framing having been completed yet.

Bike stores don’t exist anymore?

We used to do this kind of thing in the 1980's in Westchester when we were kids for relatively close to free. A quick dumpster dive at the local Schwinn shop would usually yield several upgrades for my friends and I.
