I, and everyone I knew, bought our own used cars. Consider yourself lucky even if you didn’t get to pick out the model like we did.

Nobody said anything about the Corvette?
This can’t be the same Carlos Sainz my Celica’s 3S-GTE engine (And more importantly, it’s ECU) was named after. He is far too young. Is this his son or some completely different race car driver named Carlos Sainz?
So, basically, this whole website is one big delusional leftist circle jerk? Good to know.
So did the Matrix. It was called the XRS and it featured the Celica’s Yamaha 2ZZ-GE engine that was also used in the contemporary Lotus Elise.
The 2nd Gen Scion xB is a far better car than the 1st gen and it looks much better too. Toyota basically took everything people loved about the 1st gen and turned it up a notch. It has a far better and more reliable engine with more HP and it has more interior space for not much more exterior size. I bought a great…
April 1st, 1991 - the day I started driving legally.
Plus, additional storage for the spare parts you’ll need to get home from a trip to the store.
But...But...I don’t want a Korean car :/
Now I REALLY want to know why the bag is wet.
All the machine-shops I use in Houston were open last weekend. IDK how it is in Michigan.
After having spent the ENTIRE weekend pulling the engine from my MR2 Turbo, changing the T-Belt and tensioner and then re-installing the entire thing, I finally found a reason to be envious of one of your rust-encrusted adventures. This sounds as though it may have taken all of 45mins:
2nd or 3rd for sure. After that it’s all crap punctuated by fewer and fewer decent race scenes.
I think I was getting $15/hr for the first 40hrs and $22.50/hr for the next 20hrs. It’s hard to remember because it was back when I was in college in the late 90's. I don’t remember feeling grossly underpaid and I graduated with no student loan debt. Since graduation I’ve made considerably more money engineering the…
Second time I’ve seen this on this site. In pulley reductions, gear reductions, speed-ups, etc, you state the drive gear first and then driven gear second when describing the ratio. The above alternator example in the article is on a 7:3 ratio - not 3:7.
I still like your MR2 review video the most out of all I’ve seen. Good luck in your new adventures!
“Forced to”? Back when I was a welder and a machinist 60hrs/wk was pretty standard. If you’re selling anything anyway.
Sounds like a complete BS story.
A “straight through cat” or “high-performance cat” is simply one where the path of exhaust is almost completely unimpeded. You can usually see through them and they have larger diameters and no bends that are common on many stock catalytic converters. The stock primary cat on my MR2 Turbo, for example, was highly…
You TDS people are so ridiculous. It would be sad if it weren’t so entertaining.
