This is EARLY Toyota EFI. It doesn’t do anything particularly well but it will do it forever. I’ve never had one issue with the Toyota EFI systems of this vintage despite owning several.
True. That would be the LS400 that followed a few years later. They set the benchmark at Mercedes’ best and managed to beat it in every conceivable way aside from prestige - that they earned later.

It is an LS engine. When I refer to mine I say the LS’s engine so as to differentiate it from the the 3S-GTEs in my MR2 and Celica.
