Oh I think my Astros have been tuning the Nats up quite well and I look forward to another Trump victory in 2020!

I think you’re estimating it’s value way low. Assuming it is as rust-free as it appears to be, I can see this at $3k if it runs and drives well. You also didn’t mention a BEAMs or 2JZ swap, so I will - because that is exactly what I would do if I bought this car (Probably the BEAMs)

I’m the target demo - but not anywhere near that price. This is $3500 all day.

Look up “meh” in the dictionary and you’ll find a picture of this car.

I can still recall the sound of a glass WRX transmission failing at the track. It was that common when they first came here.

Well, with Toyota and Subaru investing in each other heavily these days, perhaps some of that legendary Toyota quality will work it’s way into Subaru and some of Subaru’s commitment to manufacturing fun cars that people want to own will work it’s way into Toyota?

I have one of each! Altho my ST-205 never had the All-Trac designation as Toyota didn’t sell them here in the states. I built mine from a USDM ST-204 and two ST-205 half cuts.

Dude, my 3S-GTE (Direct competitor to your engine) has over 300k on the clock, is modified with full bolt-ons making twice it’s stock HP, 21PSI of boost and it’s still on it’s original 30yo HG.

That’s it - that’s the last one of the great Japanese 4cyls. Goodbye 3S-GTE, 4G63 and now EJ20/5.

How could I forget? I still DD two 3S-GTE equipped vehicles!

TBI a full decade after the foreign companies had all standardized on port injection. And 200HP out of a V8 in the 90's? GM should be fucking ashamed of themselves. This is all very ridiculous.

All truly great Toyota engines have always been Yamaha/Toyota designs since the 1960's. The top level engines for the 2000GT, AE86 Corolla/MKI MR2, MKII MR2 and MKIV-VI Celica Turbo, MKVII Celica, MKIII&MKIV Supras and the LFA - all joint Yamaha/Toyota designs (and I’m sure I’m missing a few).

You mean the engine that was originally developed for the Toyota Celica and succeeded the far better Yamaha/Toyota designed engine - the 3S-GTE?

What is ya’ll’s unreasonable hatred of interesting looking grills? This whole site is anti-grill.

On purpose?!?

A used Kia is, perhaps, the only car that has any chance of being worse than this...thing.

I’d guess brown or perhaps green - because those are the only colors I’ve ever seen shit come in.

Did your grandfather work for Ford or was he just a masochist?

I had an ‘81 Celica GT as my first car and all my friends had malaise era or newer american boats like this one. It was ridiculous how much better the Celica was.

That’s a GTO. They only called it the generic designation in the US because “GTO” was already in use.
