This is a standard naming convention used by most of the big Japanese brands. The fact that Mitsubishi named one of their cars that in the US because the name they used everywhere else, the GTO, was already taken doesn’t mean they can claim any ownership of it whatsoever.

One of my longtime friends has a Supra that looks exatly like the 1994 Concept down to the color. I wonder if he knows about this?

That cat looks how I feel when my stoner friends start in with their “theories”

Does Kristen own more than one outfit?

You must not have seen Ministry live between 1987-1993. They were pulling people out on stretchers without stopping the show. Al would just point at them and laugh through the microphone.

You rock, Bob - Thank you!

8.8:1 is the stock compression in my 3S-GTE (Of course it’s turbocharged :P

It does have traction control (At least the auto version does)+

I respect their honesty about the handling characteristics of their cars.

The Boomer generation invented the mid-engine sports car? LOL - Its a bit older than that, sir.

The MR2 Turbo, famously, didn’t have those limitations. It had far more power than it did traction. Many people ended up facing the wrong way in a ditch because of that.

Good point - now how many of the millions of people that watched that terrible show realize the engine of Magnum’s car isn’t “where it should be”?

Honestly, I don’t know many “boomers” who would notice or understand the implications of having the engine behind rather than in front of them. Maybe a few remember the Fiero? Not many tho.

Yes

Please edit the “c” in “customers” to a “k” because that joke is just too brilliant to fuck up like that.

Bullshit. That’s clearly the 30 freeway between Dallas and Fort Worth.

I now understand my GF when she says she doesn’t understand my love of spending weekends in the garage restoring my MR2 Turbo - because I don’t get this at all. The only word I can come up with is “Why?”

Yep, and my buddy’s Stinger has 12k miles on it and it’s falling apart left and right. This weekend was the power folding mirror sticking and clicking. Korean cars are NOT equivalent to Japanese cars.

Literally the easiest car to work on I’ve ever owned. That’s when you actually need to which is almost never.

Far more amazing than you’ve been led to believe. 200BHP from the factory but a $25 boost controller will get you to 250whp safely and bolt-ons will get you to 275-300whp. After that you need fuel mods.
