It’s a Toyota - the stalks are the same no matter RHD or LHD. Toyota doesn’t make extra stuff that is unnecessary. Even the ignition is on the same side.

If only Nissan had an engine like that...
Veilside is the reason we can barely find unmolested 90's sports cars. Besides, that looks horrific.
Unholy abominations - the lot of them!
Come on, You have the Yamaha symbol as your avatar. Have you forgotten the other affordable mid-engine RWD car of the era (That other retards bodykitted to look like a Ferrari)? The one that rocks a turbocharged Yamaha designed engine that makes between 225-254HP?
NVM The MR2 Turbo you could buy for that amount of cash.
A very good friend of mine had one of the “hot” 1st generation ones with the Toyota Twin Cam 1.6L in it. We strapped it with an intake and a cherry bomb and proceeded to harass the local civic population in the late 90's.
I love my junkyard rejects as much as the next guy but what the hell are you trying to prove?!?
Why? The old ones still drive fine?
I know some of those people. They mostly just huff and weeze from severe obesity.
But I wouldn’t mind that 3UZ-FE in my ‘97 ;)
BOTH is the correct answer - preferably simultaneously.
I thought the exact same thing when I read that.
It’s possible you don’t know everything about all cars. On my ECU the car throws a ton of fuel when it reads higher than expected intake temps due to a heat soaked intercooler. It is the ancient turbo Toyota’s way of cooling the cylinders.
The Q45 is a bit sportier, the materials are good for Nissan, as long as the tranny holds in there it is a great car.
I did it last year on my ‘97. I’d rather pull the engine than do it again.
My LS400 was a champ the 3 years I lived in Ohio. It never even slipped in the snow with the TRAC system enabled.
The LS400 and GS400 were available in identical specs. Both had LSD options, TRAC options and featured the same engine and transmission. The only option difference IIRC is the air-ride suspension available on the LS400 but I’ve had both and they’re equally good suspensions.
Thanks for that. I’m always on the lookout for ways to remain unproductive on Monday.
I’ve never cared for the looks of the LS430 vs the ‘97+ VVTi models. Peak LS for me is like ‘97-99
