I would have to see some pictures to get a sense of just how wrong one or both parties were, but if he just took the median to get into a place that was just a stones throw away, I hope his lawyers fuck up that police department! Accidents happen, I am sure he didn’t know someone had died at this one, but in normal…

So every single minor commercial aircraft incident is now headline news? Doubly so if it happens to be a Boeing? Got it.

More importantly Boeing doesn’t even make the engines. If this is a factory/design issue, then it’s a GE, Pratt & Whitney, or Rolls Royce problem.

Not sure if it’s fair to place any kind of blame on Boeing here... It’s probably a 30+ year old air frame operated by an airline in a country with famously bad maintenance and quality control. Just happy to see no one died.  

I don’t know that I would buy any rental car. That said, in the one anecdote that the article covers, Hertz actually did the right thing and swapped the car out for the guy. Trust me, I am shocked as well. 

Just buying any used car from Hertz is risky enough. Given their shady reputation, I would just as well buy a junk car from someone’s front yard. At least there’s no risk of having a SWAT team surrounding your home for auto theft this way.
