I discovered MplayerX a few weeks ago and it's been absolutely excellent. It's FAST and it plays everything, including formats such as .wma that the other players have difficulties with.

I've been using eqreader and their RSS feed for awhile. All useless for me and I basically ended up not getting value from it so after a month or so of checking, I unsubbed.
