people here are comparing this show to actual political stuff like the Daily Show, for some reason

that sketch was funny, and the atlantic totally missed the point of it by ignoring the absurdity of the situation.

this infatuation with "punching up" is why so much comedy sucks right now and also why this show was so funny/interesting

not surprrised, but very bummed. very funny show, one of the few bright spots of comedy in 2016, when TV comedy has been John Oliver eviscerations and having good talking points
