Outside of those action scenes, there’s very little about Morbius that distinguishes it in any way, even in terms of its connection with fellow Spider-Man films.

I think they were also trying to avoid HBO shoving a big rainbow over it and putting in a “watch our LGBT shows” section, and instead going for mainstream success. I would have watched it either way, but I think they probably got more eyeballs pretending it was What We Do On the Pirate Ship, even though that wasn’t an

Every time I see something about this new one, I briefly have a glimmer of hope that SyFy’s Dark Matter is coming back.

Isn’t there already a science fiction TV series called “Dark Matter”.

Concepts and caricatures are problematic when they are blatant stereotyping stand-ins for existing groups, especially when those groups are already persecuted.

“Love makes you do crazy things” - every man who’s ever physically abused a woman.

“And the award for ‘Most Effective Twitter Bot’ goes to...”

The normalization of this is twisted and insane.

I really hope this gets renewed for a second (or possibly third) season, since there’s just so much craziness left in the real Stede Bonnet’s life that hasn’t even been touched on yet.

It’s getting to the point where I might just start streaming these netflix shows while I sleep with the TV off. Just to increase the viewer numbers so they don’t get canceled before I get to them.

Netflix had Archive 81 on its Top 10 for weeks, so it’s not like it did nothing to promote the show. That said, if there were ads for it anywhere, they missed me.

Ah man, I liked Archive 81.

Aliens: Burke

As much as I love the character, does everyone need an overly long backstory these days?

I’ll have to watch again when it comes to HBOMax but... I’m just not getting all the praise for this movie. I thought it was a decent Batman movie but fairly unremarkable. Wasn’t a huge fan of emo Bruce, the movie felt long and Riddler triggering other incels into action felt lazy. In my opinion, Penguin was the best

Why is my first response to any Flash trailer now “Fuck you, Barry”?
