This is why I only count like three and a half of the Star Wars films as canon and the other dozen or so movies and TV shows as misguided attempts to sell toys of Glup Shitto.

He Who Remains is almost certainly the MCU’s play on Immortus. He’s doing the thing Immortus was always doing - tending to the timeline and “pruning” it so nothing got out of hand (i.e. nothing to threaten him) and has pretty stark, conflicting viewpoints with the Kang the Conqueror version of the character. Neither

Oh wow yeah that’s a name I vaguely remember from the late 90s... nearly a quarter century ago... when I was a teenager. Oh jesus christ...

I have legit never heard of this show til now. I know we’re living in a golden age of content, but we’re also so inundated with it, and this must have gotten swept up in the deluge. Given what other commenters are saying here doesn’t sound like I missed too much, but it still means it lost a potential viewer last year.

Bill Paxton is also in The Terminator. He’s one of the punks that get killed when the T800 first arrives near the observatory. Him and Lance Henriksen have had characters killed off in the Alien franchise, Predator franchise and Terminator franchise. A funny movie monster hattrick they’ve both scored over the years.

Djimon Hounsou is an all time great actor, but damn he’s never front and center in enough stuff. I wasn’t really partial to the other Kingsman movies, but I’ve watched worse movies for less (Aquaman comes to mind where Mr Hounsou is a fish person for a scene and gets blow up I think?)

As someone who bounces back between both roles - survivor and killer, and also has over 1000 hours, I agree. Part of it is the event, which can sometimes drive up individual trials to be worth over 500% experience, is making things very high stakes for people. Another aspect is there is a contingent of players who see

I’m not against the new Alien series, but once you set it on Earth? You kinda lose me. It sounds like, without that “trapped” setting the Alien franchise has relied on you ended up with basically an apocalyptic event really quick. In Aliens contact with just one specimen basically brought down a colony full of

I turned to my friend in 2004 and said “Damn, Van Wylder really wants to be Deadpool, huh?” and that was both the last time I saw Blade Trinity and referenced Van Wylder.

Maybe because I saw this in theaters when I was 13 and immediately got it on VHS when it came out a few months later (so this could all be nostalgia talking), but I think this is a really snappy, clever movie with well defined characters that has a lot more nuances than anything like this should. It’s not high cinema

After about 8 months or so of not playing I got back into the game last week after I saw the season 2 DLC was on sale (and really I just want the 4th skill tree) and I went through the laborious process of farming some of my favorite weapons again.... whoops. Guess I’m doing that again

I really hope we get to revisit and explore the world of Infinity Train again. It’s probably the most emotionally intelligent and empathetic show I’ve seen since Avatar the Last Airbender.

Potentially. Though a lot of these actors and character descriptions seem high school oriented and Robin seems to have moved on from that sphere w/ Steve and the other older teen/early 20s characters like Nancy and Jonathan. Time will tell... a lot of time seeing as a 2021 release is looking less likely :(

As someone who really liked season 2 and season 3 I have to say the cast was already growing sort of unwieldy and stretched thin. I remember when s3 came out there were a lot of complaints about particular characters not having much to do for a majority of that season. Adding four more characters (on top of the

Only two reasons I can think of.

WotC have stated a few times in the last year that they will be covering older settings. They just remade Ravenloft, so the new book announcements this week not being old settings make sense since we just got one. WotC doesn’t usually double up on anything back to back in 5E. So this year we got an adventure anthology

It would have been impossible to release the latest Unearthed Arcana article today (which is essentially free playtest material) without giving away the book. Discerning players would figure it out pretty quickly I think even had WotC scrubbed the lore clean and presented just the mechanics.

As someone who spends a lot of time watching “theme park tube” channels to unwind at night my first reaction to this was “D+ doing what Youtubers have been doing for years”. I’m also doubting it will be as well researched or as impartial as channels like Defunctland or Yesterworld Entertainment.

I really enjoyed this show too. Thought it was incredibly fun, but was definitely not getting my hopes up for season 2 because Netflix tends to axe things pretty quickly. Pleasant surprise today.

Singular Point has been a wild ride so far. I’m not sure everything is working for me, but the monster designs have been really unique and the way they’ve subtly incorporated certain elements of kaiju we rarely see anymore has been really neat. Looking forward to the proper release on Netflix this month.
