I like Liman’s work and while those are great movies when’s the last time you brought up Go and anyone knew what you were talking about? Even Swingers is really culty at this point.

I could go either way. Faithfully adapt the book or continue/flesh out the ridiculousness of the movie. The movie found this lame middle ground between the book and a crazy comic book movie - which is really no surprise seeing as David S Goyer adapted it.
I can’t counter these assertions but...
I still think there will be some cataclysm or “crisis” - either by Dr Alchemy or Supergirl or on Legends - that sandwiches more of the the time lines together coming somewhere later this season. While it wont rectify all the problems you mention it will close the book on some. Unless I’m deeply misreading the seeds…
None of the Marvel/Netflix shows have needed to be as long as they are. I was actually a bit disappointed when it was announced Stranger Things season 2 would be 9 episodes long. The adage about “too much of a good thing” is true.
Yeah, I’m having similar issues with the first thing you brought up. The world is still a physical space. Just how much are these people paying per visit? There’s tons of issues. What if someone falls of their horse? Shit, gets to drunk and falls down stairs? Humans have plenty of ways of dying alone. The park seems…
Given it’s Iron Fist he’d be more likely pit against the N’Garai demons
Or McConaughey and his ax
Not really. People liked Boba Fett because of the air of mystery and the promise that he was some kind of badass. The mystique of his persona and abilities drove his popularity far past his quick dismissal in VI. The mystery was too great to ignore even after his “death” (he got better in the books).
She was by and large the only “average” character for the audience to ground themselves to. That’s the main reason.
I’ve accepted I’m never getting another Reign of Fire movie. This will have to do.
Yeah. Can’t say I saw much/any grimdark here outside of now these are teens who actually get in a little bit of trouble and meet in a Breakfast Club style Saturday detention. The teens mostly sound like someone’s attempt at a Josh Whedon character rather than “Batman must answer even a 1% chance of super aliens being…
That was gritty to you? The school bully knocks himself out with a headbutt to the (now) super strong nerd. Kids jumping over 300 foot ravines. The constant Whedon-eqsue we’re-all-snarky-teens-to-the-point-we-blur-together level of quips. This was a laugh riot compared to Martha vs Martha Dawn of Marthaaaaa! that we…
Chronicle. Along with some scenes from Spider-Man, the Matrix, Elizabeth Banks as Freddy Krueger and a weird Johnny Cash cover. It’s just all the movies.
Get them Disney paychecks!
Yes. This should be on that list. Instead of comedies like “Jaws: The Revenge”.
The one from Gate bothered the shit out of me. Can’t remember the name either. But yeah it’s the example that always comes to mind of flat out terrible excuse to put pedo shit in an otherwise (mostly) decent show.
I have very similar feelings about the AD&D player handbook cover. I was immediately drawn to this as a kid. There was so much going in it to me. All these different adventures exploring a dark, ominous environment - maps and monsters. And then there’s the thieves trying to steal the gems. As a kid I knew that was exac…
I don’t even know what Rome is outside of the actual physical place but you get a star just for Failurefly. I have to remember that one.
