Oh I’m aware. But considering that Disney barely acknowledges that film exists in the MCU pantheon I can see how it might not be the same impact on casual viewers who see him pop up in the trailer.

I mean Winter Soldier sounds awesome, but he really isn’t particularly important. He serves mostly to give Cap’s character more emotional ground to cover since the point of Cap is he’s unchanging while the world changes around him. Very difficult to make that relatable. Lastly Winter Soldier just sounds cool and…
The movie was about Hydra using an algorithm to assassinate all perceived threats in advance. Bucky was just an asset they had access to. He was hardly the whole point of the movie as at best he only spurred caps early actions and at worst was a mindless tool. In fact him being missing at the end and Cap going looking…
Conjecture again. Tony is being sent after Cap because Cap disagrees with William Hurt’s “Thunderbolt” Ross character and won’t join the “super hero adult supervision act” or whatever they end up calling the initiative in this.
I think Tony is feeling bad about the whole Ultron thing and Hulk wigging out. William Hurt seems to be starting the initiative here and Tony is just going along out of guilt. Just conjecture on my part
Splitting hairs - he went rogue from the Hydra cell that infiltrated the government/SHIELD. Hydra just made him look like a bad guy.
Trailer makes sense if you - or anyone else really - actually remembers William Hurt is one of the primary antagonists from The Incredible Hulk (when Edward Norton was the MCU Hulk). He was very big on controlling Hulk and other super-powered individuals. That seems to be what he’s addressing at the start of the…
This was one of the major things that started to ruin the latter portion of the show for me and the comparison to Daredevil was too easy to make that it almost comes off like a joke within the show. Like the writers did it on purpose.
No. I assume people have real lives and don’t have time to watch 13 hours of show with the first 3 days it’s out and have been curious if people who were giving it glowing reviews had seen it through yet, because my opinion and the opinions of few others drastically changed after a certain point from glowing to “WTF…
It’s a valid question. A lot of my friends were enjoying it and then one by one as we reached the final episodes over the weekend found the writing to be lacking and the characters dumbed down for the sake of continuing it further than it needed to go. So I asked for my own personal edification. /shrug
And Jessica Jones wasn’t even that good (plot wise). Synder can handle neither character nor plot unless he’s copying it verbatim from a page in a comic - which isn’t the case since he’s copying it verbatim from David S. Goyer trash.
Hmm... have you seen passed episode 9? Because it falls apart hard. I felt like everyone’s IQ plummeted after that. And ultimately I felt the resolutions to the issues were underwhelming when the writers seemingly decided that complexity didn’t matter anymore if they could make the series 13 episodes instead of 9 or…
Everyone’s least favorite is Burke. A lot of people seem to hate Hudson too, but how can you hate Bill Paxton?
But.. but... Ryan Reynolds.
It’s on par with Daredevil so far I’d say. I find Matt Murdock brand of crazy more interesting than Jessica which boils down to “I’ve been (mind) raped but that makes me stronger” (a trope for female characters I could go the rest of my life without seeing again and I’d be ok) and the action scenes aren’t as good…
Because they cast one of the most boring actresses as major Kusanagi and need every notable or memorable plot point from the series to help grab aa many general audience aa they can since coasting on fans of the series isn’t financially feasible.
I think over time there’s been sympathy towards PM as it’s viewed more as or excused as a children’s movie.
One of my absolute favorite Wheatley scenes
No Wheatley!?
Either way. Unwatchable. But the returned Jesus could star in these movies and they’d still be unwatchable.
