My hand almost constantly rests on the shifter. I drove one-handed a lot before I learned how to drive stick and my right hand just wants to settle on the gear selector. I try to re-position it to the e-brake when I think of it.

Lmfaooooooo look at you calling this guy a racist for no reason. There is no debating with SJWs

Now you’re reminding me of the Mazda Navajo.

Its not sad. If the Cherokee nation will take payment for the privilege of using their name then that is their choice.

I promise to get offended at anything that is named something from now on.  Call it anything besides the Jeep Vehicle and I’ll start a riot in the name of something.

And they were both fucking terrible.  Those names should die.

So they were recycling. Jeep is eco-friendly!

The liberty and patriot were the same damn car. Seriously, the same damn car. I decided to test drive both and they had identical interiors, same statistics for basically everything. They had different powertrain options, but the ones I drove were so damn similar that you could not tell them apart.

I’d drive the shit out of a Ford Redneckrob.

Man, I hate Wranglers.

Liberty may be a touch over patriotic for other makes, but let’s not forget that Jeep literally had a car called the Patriot.

As soon as I read that you were getting quotes and viewpoints from the New York Times, I stopped reading your article.

Wagoneer or Grand Wagoneer

I think the Liberty was killed off because it was a shitty car and people who remember the car will probably think of the original shitbox.

Yeah, the Cherokee isn’t, but the Grand Cherokee is like a third of all their sales.

Where? No, seriously, I haven’t heard of any mad natives until last week when it supposedly became offensive.

I’d rather VW turn Scout into a range of electric SUV’s retrodesigned as modern versions. The Small Scout 800 and the larger Scout II, both two-door, with Traveller four-door versions of both as well. BEV with a small rotary ICE as a genny for extended excursions and work use.  Have versions with a bed as well maybe.

The current Cherokee is no XJ, they should look at this as an opportunity to rename it Scrambler or Commando or another historic Jeep name.

I can’t believe you’d recommend Jeep profit off the name of Mexico and her people.

The Cherokee Nation wasn't complaining in the 80s and 90s, just with the most recent models... can't say I blame them.
