Having worked on USPS equipment contracts, the underlying structure of the USPS is very concerned with all those things. They are looking at that 20-30 years of operating life and have seen what happens otherwise. For the projects I was on they demanded up-front delivery of the full product drawing package to ensure

They probably still have significant military contracts, just not for vehicles we normally see.

Whenever people start bashing USPS and sucking UPS’ dick I know for sure they live in the suburbs and have never lived in an apartment building. USPS has a key to my building, UPS usually blow a soft sigh at the buzzer and then leave a note saying I need to pick it up at an access point the next business day.

LOL. I wouldn’t be surprised if they based it on a FWD Transit, then. It still looks like it has a high step-in height compared to the other design proposals.

You can get the Transit in both, though the FWD versions aren’t in NA.

If you’re going to buy something that is expected to serve 20-30 years, you want something that suits your specific needs very well. And because they’re buying in bulk, they’re going to get a good price. Sure, the winning design kind of looks like “The Homer,” but USPS drivers are probably going to love it way more

IIRC, the Transit is RWD, so the cargo space is probably about the same as the other proposals, but step-in height is probably higher, which makes it less driver-friendly. The Transit Connect is FWD.

Chip’s truck is nice, but I’m kinda impartial to this one.

The doofy looks are a big selling point though- one thing you want with a mail truck is to look friendly and nonthreatening. Basically, it needs to almost look like a cartoon character because for all intents and purposes, it’s one of the most visible aspects of the postal service and looking friendly is super

The AM General design is probably the safest and most ordinary looking of all the designs, including the Oskosh one. This is 2nd big contract that AM General has lost to Oskosh, with the JLTV being the big kahuna. I wonder what contracts or programs are keeping them afloat at this point?

How is this not a slideshow? (Not that I’m complaining)

I was heartbroken to read about Bruce’s passing earlier today. Accordfing to Autoweek, “Meyers died of a blood disease called myelodysplasia, which is similar to leukemia.” (Actual quote) Now I understand why he sold the company last November. He knew his time was at hand.

Notably, the trailer appears to show some formerly white characters now portrayed by Asian actors.

I was pretty sure it was a joke until the update, and I’m still not sure.

I think you might be confusing Chun-Li with King from Tekken. Chun-Li was in Soul Calibur.

I think that’s rather unlikely

She’s not in the movie, because Chun-Li isn’t in the Mortal Kombat games. She’s in Street Fighter.

Yeah, is this facetious? Just dumb? I utterly fail to understand the point of this article.

That she’s not from the games this series is about? Different series made by a completely different company.
