Same idea here, but reverse order. Went to school to be an engineer, realized how dull it can be, and wanted to start driving seriously. Realized I will never get paid to drive (though I think I may be fast for my lack of seat time) and now I’m stuck in a quarter-life crisis.

Yup! Learned a lot and had a great experience. Really makes me want to pursue open wheel racing now...just need to put together the finances and get some more practice!

Just completed race school as well in a Van Diemen car...have a similar assortment of bruises/scrapes on my back, knees, and elbows.

Explain twice as restricted. I’m assuming you are talking purely powertrain BOP adjustments. Most cars are significantly restricted by the map (and associated amount of boost) they are allowed to run. Obviously, this wouldn’t be the case on the Corvette engines, and you’ve only mentioned an airflow restriction change.

I think most people that find them appealing haven’t personally dragged one home and dealt with the consequences. Never had a car that was ‘better than expected’.

She wasn’t the kind of nude woman you’d want to know more about. Trust me here.

I have actually rode these extensively while living in El Salvador. Several of my experiences include:

I’m sure they were aware many photos would be taken and simply removed it when they parked.

Does the German government frequently visit Monterey?

Just casually parked in the parking lot of the IMSA race last week:

Was it this one? It was parked in the paddock last week.

You’ll be fine. Did it in a crappy Miata my first winter in MI, and people tell me it was a nasty one. Get some good snow tires, use something to prevent the windshield from fogging, and make sure your heater works great!

Yeah, I realize that. Fixed it as to not mislead others who may happen to actually read the grey.

Double the cost, triple the time.

but judging by the car’s performance so far maybe Ford hasn’t figured it all out quite yet.

Plasti-dip yo!

I like this way more than I should:

Generally my thinking as well; OEM wheels can be pretty robust. Problem is when you start modifying the rest of the car...then you have to work around brakes and getting a large enough contact patch.

Weirdly enough, I think fondly of the Camry. Don’t get wrong...I’m a car guy. I drive the most unreliable, crazy garbage out there on a regular basis. However, I got married and suddenly adopted a worn out 2002 Camry with over 200k miles.

This post is all kinds of awesome. Thanks for sharing.
