I so, so, so do not want this to be true but I have to accept it: people here are just very...reserved. Like, catatonically reserved/frosty/rude. I enjoyed it at first, coming from an area of the country where everyone’s like “Y’ALL COME BACK YA HEAR!!!” every god damn minute. But it gets fucking old.

I find it hard to be close friends with people who have political views that are counter to mine or strong religious views mainly because I feel like I always have to be guarded about what I say and I can never quite relax.

Oh, once it’s OUT OF THE BOX, you really can’t un-know it. It definitely adds a layer, that in some instances will lead to a backing away, (depending on how intolerant they are.)

“could you stay friends with someone that you just found out is a lot more conservative than you thought”

This is a difficult question (which is why sometimes I try not to know?)

So funny that you say that.. I just had an experience that made me realize, besides one or two people, I so much more progressive and just different thinking than most of the people around me. This is also outside a liberal city in a blue state. Also.. could you stay friends with someone that you just found out is a

Indeed - seems almost any place that is affordable with decent employment prospects is full of bigoted garbage people - any place that is even *kind of* progressive is priced through the roof w/few employment prospects because of the glut.

so it’s often a *choice*.

Fair enough, it’s not for everyone.

There will be people who try this and end up accidentally scrambling an egg in their oatmeal. Thanks, Jennifer Aniston.

I have to say Jennifer aniston is a celebrity that is very messy while eating spaghetti! But luckily I was able to get a few pics before they threw me out!

you’re making it wrong. :(

Wow. My son’s middle name is a surname that you’d never ever want to call a kid by because it was his dad’s and granddad’s and great-granddad’s middle name, and his great-great-grandmother’s maiden name. My brother’s is also a surname for similar reasons. Using a family name/conglomeration of family names in the

Good for her as a business lady and stuff, but really her products are kind of crappy. Also, they prey on people who think they are doing something “good” and “environmentally friendly” when in reality, it’s the same shit as Pampers. The fact she’s willing to sell it to Johnson and Johnson illustrates that.

Weird as that middle name is, I find it way less obnoxious than the typical celebrity baby special snowflake names. At least they made the first name normal and the middle name means something.

I understand your point...but isn’t that the point of quality journalism to cover such issues? Legitimate, serious issues are essentially being glossed over in most American media sources in favor of Bernie not being precise or Hillary’s old speech which has been covered numerous times. Meanwhile, Tony Rodham’s ties

Methinks a LOT of people wish there was a more palatable Dem candidate.

Being that as it may - it’s light years better than the GOP. Does it make that much strategic sense to make it such a mission to tear them down so hard *before* the election, (basically making it way easier for the GOP)?

Now playing

Yeah, the crime bill Bernie voted for because it included the Violence Against Women Act, the one he pushed hard to change because he predicted at the time it would lead to mass incarceration. That crime bill.

There’s a biiiiiiig difference between sharing ideas and using bastardized versions of another culture’s sacred objects as fashion accessories. If kids started wearing Sikh turbans or Jewish prayer shawls as fashion accessories, it’d be just as offensive.

Slight more right wing? That'd work if she is running against Romney but Cruz and Trump are goddamn monsters

The excuses from the Hillary supporters on facebook and twitter today have been pretty funny.
