I think the ticking of the clock in the living room and then the faster ticking of the watch were both meant to signify that Walt's time is running out, as well as to make us recall Mikes "you're a time bomb speech", but I don't think it was meant to be specifically connected to Jesse.

It is a command to leave. It means "Let's go" in the sense of vacating a location (not "we go").

He was willing to risk killing a child though. I don't think that's much better.

I think it's a part of it. In the case of MadMen, it's also difficult to comprehend just what women's roles typically were in 1960. I think some viewers too young to understand the gender roles of the time feel that Betty had more options and more agency than she realistically did.

Can't agree. Mike has a solid understanding of how this business works, and he clearly considers the men still being paid off "his guys".  Mike has a clear sense of loyalty to his guys, not only because they could flip and ruin his life, but because even in the underworld, there's a code. He did have insurance coverage through the DEA, but it didn't cover the specific therapists he felt were the best, nor the frequency of visits he wanted to give him his best shot at a full recovery.  I don't recall which episode it was, but in Season 3 there's a discussion about this at the hospital between Marie and
