If a NASCAR fan were flying the Confederate Flag, wouldn’t that be about as disrespectful toward the American Flag as anything in the history of America?

“Anybody that don’t stand up for that ought to be out of the country. Period,” Petty said. “If they don’t appreciate where they’re at … what got them where they’re at? The United States.”
I’m going hiking tomorrow morning, but I also still plan to go for a run on Sunday morning. Thanks for inquiring after my exercise routine. It’s nice to know you care.
Last night Jimmy Kimmel lacerated Sen. Bill Cassidy for this (this is a must see):
The thing is, such people, psychopaths, people on power trips, narcissists, are precisely those who are drawn to become
copsPresidents.
That’s spot on. I’d say to dress like Steve Jobs: Crisp, fresh, well-groomed, and expensive-looking, but still casual and comfortable. It’s what the really rich guys do. (Well, the really rich have private flights, but you get the idea.)
Lots of comments comparing suits vs. shorts-and-t-shirts.
I don’t think he was talking about slave owners. The Confederacy was insurrection and treason against the United States. Why should we honor those people? Mount Rushmore doesn’t include Jefferson Davis et al. #themoreyouknow
There’s a sick genius in Trump’s tweets though. In one morning, he has changed the entire subject of conversation about Charlottesville to being about Confederate statues. If you try to rob a bank and fail, you’ve still committed a crime. If you credibly plan and intend to rob a bank and don’t actually do so, that can be a crime as well.
Nope, sorry, gotta disagree. First, I really do want to stretch my legs after sitting on the Iron Throne (a.k.a, my “seat”) for hours. It may be uncomfortable to stand in the aisle hunched over like Quasimodo, but it’s better than sitting in that damned tiny seat with my kneecaps crushed.
Sitting in your seat and waiting until the proper time is definitely the right thing to do.
Err, Trump didn’t do shit to make it cheaper... The cost reduction came at the exact time and in the exact amount that was planned years before Trump even thought about running for office. He just took credit for it.
thanks for giving me the excuse to post this.
Door-to-door canvassing for a Democrat in an African-American neighborhood is great! 99% positive feedback, and only a rare bad attitude, regardless of your skin color. After a few hours, even an introvert feels like he/she has done something positive to make things a little better. (And if you really don’t like the…
