From Road & Track back in the 1970's oil crisis (I paraphrase): Driving fun is inversely proportional to miles-per-gallon.

So the oil companies are finally investing in renewable energy, and in ten years or so they will suddenly do an about-face on “climate change is a hoax,” “CO2 is good for plants,” “who knew about this global warming stuff,” and so forth. I’ll be sooooooooo surprised.

The dividends are additional income you generated by your hard work of picking a good investment. So, yes, you are essentially paying taxes on income from a second job, but at a lower rate. It may not be not “fair,” whatever that means, but it isn’t double taxation.

Driving by any neighborhood auto dealer, I’d guess that the standards aren’t exactly impossible to meet. And with buy-here/pay-here easy financing (Bad credit? No credit? No problem!), even astronomical prices let me take it home today!

Yes, it’s not like the Republicans could impeach him for something really serious, like having sex outside of his marriage(s).

It started with the “Red Scare” during the cold war in the 1950s and 1960s. To accuse someone of being a Communist was to insinuate they were a traitor to the U.S. of A. Senator McCarthy used this to his own political advantage, and it worked because so many people (especially conservatives, I’d say) are afraid of ever

Holy crap, I just took the survey. It was all “Do you still beat your wife?” questions. It looked like it was made up by an angry 8-year-old (or Donald himself).

Grow up? I’m not the one resorting to ad hominem attacks. I even made a point of agreeing with you where I could. Yes, someone needs to grow up, indeed.

I wasn’t disagreeing with politics favoring (and creating) the rich, believe me. My objection was highlighting Clinton. Even your chart show that he earned 1/3 or more of his money after leaving office from a popular book and speaking engagements. And he had actual life experience of growing up poor, unlike most of

The Clintons have money, now, like just about every President and Senator (all but one Senator, Bernie Sanders, is at least a millionaire, IIR). But Bill Clinton started life dirt poor. Obama grew up middle class in a single-parent home. Trump? Inherited several hundred millions (not exactly self-made). G.H.W. Bush

I think you have the issue of pork backwards. NASA has facilities scattered everywhere because politicians require money to be spent in their own back yard. For example, Mission Control was supposed to be built in Orlando — far enough away from an explosion at launch, close enough easy communication and control.

When it comes to “singer vs. entertainer,” I think Carlos Santana can speak with more authority than most. Beyonce is an excellent entertainer and yes, a talented singer, IMHO. But her musical talent as a singer doesn’t compare to many other musicians, Adele or Santana or others.

Ack! You’re right! He fits so well with the Republican stereotype that I didn’t check. Are both parties in Louisiana this bad?

Kirsten, I would ask that you not try to hide the word “nigger” as “n*gger”or any other self-censorship. It hides what he really said and makes it a little bit less offensive. Quote exactly what this old, white, Republican racist said because it is so offensive. Voters need to understand what this cretin is when his

Baghdad Bob is already there. He’s the one wearing the “KellyAnne” costume. Which explains a few things about “her.”

No, it wasn’t a dismal-run campaign! She had real, experienced campaign professionals doing the organizing and planning like she should, she had decades of experience in successful campaigns for herself and Bill, and she knew how to spend her resources on states that mattered for the electoral college votes. The only

Very low-energy pun. It’s a loser, sad. You need a dressing-down.
