Easily distracted murder machines, that's the … a spider!

Again, fair enough, but please read my reply to @1derer:disqus. I was absolutely not trying to call religious folk idiots or assholes.

Okay, thanks. I was going off Wikipedia, which is always dangerous, I know.

Fair enough. Please read my reply to @1derer:disqus for some context, though.

First of all, sorry, I didn't realize I was beating a dead horse. When I said "Discuss", I really meant it, and many of the replies (including yours) have been quite enlightening to me.

That's a world I'd love to … ooh look, string!

Stephen Colbert has repeatedly demonstrated that he is one of the smartest, most astute, most socially aware, and most articulate human beings on this planet. I love him dearly.

That's a pretty good one, all right, but my favourite is "Lydia the Tattooed Lady" from the otherwise pretty dire At the Circus. The song I was thinking of from Animal Crackers is "Hooray for Captain Spaulding / Hello, I Must Be Going".

I think that's a fair assessment. Animal Crackers has the best jokes (and the 2nd best song), Duck Soup is the best satire, but Opera actually has a plot (albeit a pretty simple one) and characters other than the Marx Bros. that you can care about (admittedly in a pretty sappy way). (Not trying to damn with faint

Yeah, that seemed pretty lazy. No Lewis Black, no Jessica Williams, no Jason Jones, no Kirsten Schaal … and I wasn't paying that much attention to the dates, but for Colbert they couldn't even be bothered to hunt down his first appearance?

Hey, maybe try reading the actual book instead of the wiki summary.

And why on earth would they store the car?

You know, given how the show has cheated a bit in the flashbacks, you can't really blame the "time travel" crowd. In the "previously on" montage, we once again saw Pilcher meeting with Ethan's boss in 2014, but it was the old Pilcher we've been seeing in WP's "present", not the Wigbboy Pilcher we know woke up after

For that matter, once coffee lady had picked up her cup and looked back at her screen, why didn't she report that the feed had gone out? Yeah, might have been better to just show Theresa smashing the camera and let it go at that.

I agree, I think the intent was to let us in on what pushed Pilcher over the edge and caused him to turn off the power.

It's either a helmet for use when fighting crime, or a helmet that actually fights crime itself. Or it's a helmet made out of crime-fighting.

I was thinking more of the Dean Jones / Buddy Hackett era, but there's nothing Bruce Campbell can't make awesome, so sure.

I'm rooting for a half-season arc featuring Herbie the Love Bug.

He's not Arne Darvin! He's … Harry Johnson?

I've spent a disproportionate amount of my life in Amsterdam (and the Netherlands in general), and believe me, that cartoon is practically photorealistic.
