"God's wounds!"

As to your question about the horde, it was implied that quite a few of them had died in the flood after the dam broke, and when they returned, the old town was underwater. They no longer had homes to go back to, they wouldn't know any places in the new town, why not hole up in the woods with others in the same

Well, it didn't exactly fill me with the dread I'd hoped for last week, but I did have a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach for the majority of the episode. They did a really good job of ratcheting up the tension with the full introduction of the horde and seeing where they would show up next, culminating in

Sadly, I am an American without Netflix, and so I remain unfamiliar with that Spiral. It sounds good though, from what Google told me.

Oooh, now I've gotta see it. I had heard it wasn't as scary as the manga, but I'm a sucker for Lovecraftian themes.

It didn't look like all that many dead people to me. I think the number of returned might be linked to the number of animal corpses they pulled from the reservoir, somewhere around 30.

There is no amount of money you could give me to get me to stop my car on that dam. I am so worried that they'll get washed away or something, especially since it apparently turns foggy next time. Talk about trapped!

HODOR!

I'll give it an A-.

Awwwwww yeeeeeaaaaaahh.

I knew something was up when Serge and Toni, two experienced woodsmen, couldn't find their way out of the forest, but it didn't occur to me that the town wants to keep everyone inside its borders until Laure and Julie drove over the dam again. It seemed like several hours had elapsed between the first and second

I was wondering if anyone else on the AV Club had enough gymkhana experience to correct her. FWIW, I used to do it too. I miss it sometimes; it really was a rush!

Well, we can always hope!

A prequel game would be seriously awesome! Not getting to see all that backstory negatively impacts the show, IMO. Unfortunately they said they're adapting the show with book material, not the books themselves, so I think we're gonna have to keep dreaming there.

She does seem like a good conversationalist, doesn't she? ;]

It was easy to miss!

When they pried it open, I half-thought that it would be empty and half-thought that it would have a corpse inside, but being full of water was definitely not something I was prepared for. Very disturbing, and it brought home the connection to the dam weirdness. I really hope we find out what's behind all that, but

I think that's a pretty uncharitable interpretation of Lena's actions. She strikes me as the sort who responds to emotional upset by trying to fuck the pain away, as in the scene with Frederic in the bathroom at Lake Pub. And let's not forget, she'd just found out that her savior/captor was the guy who nearly killed

He did mention what happened to Esteban's parents, just briefly (and rather obliquely) toward the end of the review. And yeah, I really don't think that's what either Camille or Pierre had in mind when it came to "giving people hope."

I liked that people used to be able to change their usernames to fit the jokes they were making back then. Plus, there wasn't really a character limit to usernames either, so people could get really creative with them. There's stuff to like about this system too, but there was a freedom then that we'll never get
