@avclub-b0dae075785888267fc19871f3e7dab7:disqus That's true, but you've gotta remember that most big movies of that era don't spend a whole lot of time on anything, really, because they weren't long enough.  For example, I rewatched Ghostbusters 2 not long ago and was surprised at just how quickly paced it was

"Love Like Blood" was the first song I heard of theirs and it had an influence on me for months afterward, especially since I had just gone through a breakup.  That bassline alone is just so evocative for me.

I was maybe 1 or 2 then, but gooood LORD what I wouldn't give now to go back in time and see that, debauchery or no.  St. Andrew's is a good venue, too, seen plenty of great shows there.

I don't resent him being happy, in fact I wish him all the best, it's just that his music started to suck at about the same time.  Some may see that correlation as causation, though I personally think he just got too old to get properly mopey anymore.

What's actually kind of cool about that is that now they're using that stereoisomer of thalidomide as a cancer inhibitor because it keeps blood vessels from growing, which was precisely the problem when it was used in pregnant women.

Even though they were all the rage in school, I could never bring myself to read them, just based on how frightening the images on the covers alone were.  Now that they've changed them, I might finally be able to get through one!

Seriously?  The stereotype of ICP fans has been around almost as long as ICP itself.  I myself met my first Juggalos back in '99-2000ish… but then again, I also live in Michigan, which I suppose you could consider Juggalo "ground zero."

Did you know he was actually voiced by Phil Hartman?  I always thought that was pretty cool, even though he was kinda scary…

It's because the company is headquartered in Detroit, and that's where they're from. What I'm confused about is why they needed to pimp it the way they did, and ruin it for us decent folk.

I had a similar experience after reading "Tunes for Bears to Dance To" at about the same age, and though I didn't go so far as to vow never to read his books again, I definitely had no interest in reading any more of them.
