Ditto. Countless times I’m commuting in my track car and have these douches trying to race past me with their engines revving, trying to give me the eye. I just keep motoring ahead like they aren’t even there. Sometimes that has them calling me a “pussy” or a “faggot” then they race off. I’m fairly certain car karma

Interesting that you think so highly of this particular SHO...

I feel bad saying this. But they are giving you real enthusiasts who are responsible with this hobby a bad name. I understand not all car fans are like this. But it’s an unfortunate blight on the culture.

Honestly people like you are all I seem to meet in the car culture. I’ve made exactly 1 friend who was a street racing douche nozzle. All the rest are like “There’s an autocross in 2 weeks. Wanna go? You can drive my Roadster.”

This is my mentality entirely. The few times I went to a CnC or another meet there were all of three of us who were enthusiast. We could cordially talk about track days or give each other pointers on work we were doing. Aaaaand then we’d watch the circus show start and promptly leave.

I like cars, have most of my life. But mainstream car “culture” is intolerable for the most part.

Seconded.

Bunch of losers. Likely not a single one has been to a real track, but rather lives their lives 1/4 mile at a time on the means streets of LA, blocking off roads for sideshows, and just acting like total tools. The all give “real” enthusiasts a bad name.

OK, stop with that fucking bullshit right now. I said none of that, and to say I did makes you an liar.

Sophie’s Choice if she had children with Trump. “Ugh, I have to take one?"

The most monstrous thing about this story is the concept of vegan tacos.

I like the concept, but patina is never perfectly symmetrical. The front bumper wrap has a mirror image my OCD can’t unsee.

The Miata and GT86 remainingslow” and light give me hope :)

It is not. The National Firearms Act, or NFA, is the law which restricts possession of fully-automatic firearms to only those who pay a $200 tax, and with it, register their finger prints, their photo, the serial number of the firearm or item covered by the NFA, and receive a complete, manual background check by the

I feel like this sentence might make more sense if it was the other way around.

This. My petite wife finds a lot of new car seats horrifically uncomfortable. It’s like she sinks back into the seat so far and then the headrest forces her head down. She has to use an additional pillow behind her back.

I had a car like that. Loved everything about it, except the effing head restraint. It was canted so far forward that I either had to recline my seat farther than I wanted, or raise the headrest to near its maximum hight. Otherwise I felt like my chin was being pushed into my chest.

What is autopilot for?
