Wait, who are you?
Wait, who are you?
Anecdotally it seems like it may be. Last year I had to fly from Los Angeles to South Korea and the cheapest fair was for... Ugh well I can’t remember but I’m pretty sure it was Singapore Airlines. It was the cheapest by about 150 or so on a flight costing roughly $1100 for coach seats.
The internet (and even Google) has trained us to have interest in a thing no longer than the lifeTime of a mayfly. I’ll forget I posted this by tomorrow.
“if he’s old at 30, what am I at 51?”
Rally driving videos are my favorite four wheeled spectator motorsport.
Why the long face? Does it make you sad that they got it wrong?
The banned Nissan 300ZX Superbowl commercial. Showing my age but I was there when it aired that one Time and then never again because it “encourages speeding.”
Classic old school. Still one of my favorites.
My buddy’s uncle. We were going to a football game two years back (Rams back in town) and he was driving. He’s a smart, capable man but it’s hard to describe what a terrible driver he is. He can’t maintain pace on the highway, nor maintain distance from the car in front of him. When he does start drifting too close,…
I’m still weirded out that the narrator sounds like he’s speaking American English yet chooses to pronounce it “aluminium” and nearly flubs the word.
Good point. I even own Fortnite and haven’t touched it since I bought it and played it for a fortnite. But it’s Kinja so I can’t even edit my own words.
Fortnite is in early access and they’re on Season 6. Yea, the term doesn’t mean anything anymore.
Torch said a defacto ban on Asian RHD cars, making statements that this really meant Japanese RHD cars. And then a bit farther down said “or even Indian RHD...” as though India isn’t a part of Asia.
“In fact, specifying any location of origin at all nullifies any argument that the attempt to ban RHD cars is some sort of safety issue—if it was, then why not ban British or Australian or Indian RHD cars as well?”
This always reminds me of the Ford Contour SVT with its extrude honed intake. Apparently in that car’s V6, extrude honing added 5 hp to the crank, going from 195 to 200 hp between 1998 and 1999.
The only words I can make out in that delicious looking picture are “coon” and “premium”.
Pedant here, Torch. Technically Indian RHD cars would be Asian...
That just made me realize that there’s nothing wrong with the sYc. That just makes it a SICK CAR, MAN. You know, sYc? Sick? SICK?
Roughly, dude. I said roughly. Now you’re just splitting hairs with someone who generally agrees with you because you want to debate 100 hp over a range of 2000-6000 pounds. I’m trying not to bog down in discussion about how torque is actually more important than HP in most cases.
Roughly. Depends on vehicle weight along with other factors and it’s just easier to boil it down to a simple number for the sake of discussion without splitting hairs and still leave enough “fun” power on the table. Yes, lightness is a factor. 400HP in a Miata is pretty pointless, not so much in a Land Rover.
