Anecdotally it seems like it may be. Last year I had to fly from Los Angeles to South Korea and the cheapest fair was for... Ugh well I can’t remember but I’m pretty sure it was Singapore Airlines. It was the cheapest by about 150 or so on a flight costing roughly $1100 for coach seats.

This always reminds me of the Ford Contour SVT with its extrude honed intake.  Apparently in that car’s V6, extrude honing added 5 hp to the crank, going from 195 to 200 hp between 1998 and 1999.

Roughly, dude. I said roughly. Now you’re just splitting hairs with someone who generally agrees with you because you want to debate 100 hp over a range of 2000-6000 pounds. I’m trying not to bog down in discussion about how torque is actually more important than HP in most cases.

Roughly. Depends on vehicle weight along with other factors and it’s just easier to boil it down to a simple number for the sake of discussion without splitting hairs and still leave enough “fun” power on the table. Yes, lightness is a factor. 400HP in a Miata is pretty pointless, not so much in a Land Rover.
