While I agree, I think it’s important to point out that a lot of the “fucking IDEAS” in Watchmen are deeply rooted in the very medium of comic books. Which goes some way to supporting the notion that it shouldn’t be adapted.

A few things.

I’m also terrible at flight sims but there was no way on PSVR1 I was missing out on Star Wars Squadrons. I muddled my way through half of that game on the easiest difficulty. It was fun and my inner 10 year old was squealing with delight but I suuuucked.

VERLE!!!

I love Horizon but have held off on Call of the Mountain because of the combat. I’m not inherently against the idea of an “enclosed arena”-style combat encounter system. Hell, I loved Okami! But it feels pretty limiting in VR, especially when there are other games that don’t hem you in that way. And the game’s

I understand defense lawyers of bad people. If you believe in the justice system, it’s reasonable to believe that even guilty pieces of shit deserve a defense. But how can you be a spokesperson for a hacker group who threatens to reveal personal data of employees? What possible justification could there be?

That is a fucking ridiculous parallel. Please don’t ludicrously conflate unfunny transphobes with people who dislike video game cutscenes. FFS...

Mostly fair, I just deeply disagree about people’s ignorance of the VR experience. And there’s a difference, IMO, between naivete of people who haven’t tried it and aren’t inclined and the *willful ignorance* of people who antagonize VR without trying it. The former is reasonable, the latter is fucking trolling. And

Yep. A lot of “Well she’s clearly unhinged.”

I enjoyed the Xtacles follow-up but it just wasn’t the same.

Now can we please get a proper goddam wrap up of Frisky Dingo?

Bulletstorm VR. It looks like a lot of fun!

Jesus. Christ. Of course (OF COURSE) there are dudes (always dudes) on social media in outrage over the firing because it was "only" a misdemeanor.

Okay, but can you see how frustrating it is to be someone TELLING everyone who will listen that there ARE “truly engaging” experiences on there? Like... how the fuck does anyone who doesn’t actually HAVE the headset make those claims? Because they do! People who don’t actually use the headset will talk shit on it.

I think that’s a valid complaint IF you care about first-party resources. I’m fine with third party folks taking the reins. I don’t see that as inherently proof of lack of support for the headset.

Yep. Fucking Star Wars nerds who think they’re dunking on Kennedy should shut the fuck up until any of their personal creative heroes have half her fucking resume. It’s infuriating and short-sighted and narrow-minded. But that’s nerd culture to a goddam tee. Makes me want to go back in time and dump my own books on

I think your joke parallel needs to be closer to the truth.

It is no doubt expensive. If there’s any question of value, however, I think the games I’ve played thus far, which is by no means an exhaustive list, have justified the cost. That said, my brain buys into VR quite easily so immersion has never been much of an issue for me. And that same brain doesn’t get motion sick

Anyone looking at the last few months of PSVR2 and saying it’s not getting support is deliberately avoiding PSVR2. Maybe Sony’s messaging around it is bad but I’m quite pleased with the offerings. And there’s more coming. I just don’t know what the deal is with this site. There’s having reasonable doubts and side-eye

I do actually like the charging station for the VR controllers. Charging stations generally are quite convenient, I just would like one less thing to buy. And as long as the system has three standard USB ports (someone pointed out that there are two ports on the front but one is for the VR headset) I think two should
