Here’s my big complaint about DoorDash and all of it’s ilk...

The crash & burn of Door Dash and the other delivery-grift services can’t happen soon enough.

I only use these apps when they throw money at me, but I always make sure to tip extra.

Nowadays I choose when to grocery shop mostly on anticipating “when are a lot of other people not going to be grocery shopping” and I buy things in order “maximize the time before I have to go back” since, you know, global pandemic.

I was Iowa small town born and raised, and I’ve lived many years in large cities, including but not limited to Chicago (city proper, not suburbs).

The Secret Service has to protect the First Lady whether she works or not.  I doubt that there is much (if any) marginal extra cost associated with her having a job, I highly doubt it is going to be $50 million a year.  And, like, protecting the First Family is literally the Secret Service’s job.  It is not like this…

As someone very familiar with the inner workings of evangelical churches, likely the moral failure was on Hillsong’s side. Either actions, or theological, and when the young pastor tried to confront it he clashed more and more with the church leadership. I’ve seen this play out a few times.

Making something disrespectful to one group because of another’s pearl clutching at the depiction of the objective culture of the first just seems like a bad idea. There is always Korean “backlash” whenever anything Japanese is depicted anywhere, so you either have to decide that you’re going to depict Japanese…

So by being “inclusive” and removing... *bowing in a japan themed expansion* you’ve made it less japanese. Cool.
